Lotus Opens First Outlet In Malaysia In Prestigious Locale

At Kuala Lumpur’s prestigious Pavilion Damansara Heights, Lotus Cars Malaysia has launched its first brand store. Covering 173.58 square metres, the facility opened ten months after the all-electric Lotus Eletre hyper-SUV was introduced in April of last year. The vehicle has been well received in Malaysia, where 200 more cars are on the way and 50 have already been delivered as of this month.

The Eletre and the Emira sports car, two of Lotus’ newest offerings in Malaysia, are housed at the Lotus Store at Pavilion Damansara Heights, which was designed to represent the brand’s new global corporate identity.

Customers can customise every part of their vehicle with the configurator room, which Lotus refers to as the “jewel in the crown.” This covers both external components like paint colour, wheel and tyre selections, and brake calipers in addition to interior components like materials, the steering wheel, carbon inlays, and more.

For interested parties, daily hours for the Lotus Store in Pavilion Damansara Heights are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

In order to provide customers with even more convenience, the brand also plans to expand the Lotus presence in the Northern and Southern regions and introduce a Lotus Mobile Service Solution.

“A new era for Lotus Cars Malaysia began in 2018 with the opening of a fully-fledged after-sales service outlet in Shah Alam, but as you can see with the time it took to open the new Lotus Store, our growth and brand presence has been a gradual but methodical approach,” said Jack Zaal, general manager of Lotus Cars Malaysia.

Here, the process of reintroducing the brand involved more than just assuring current Lotus customers that we are available to meet their needs. It was also crucial to get both current and prospective customers to accept and understand the new Lotus philosophy and global direction, which aims to build premium and top-tier vehicles without compromising on the core values of Lotus—which are of course—the pure joy of driving.

“The tremendous reception the Eletre received from consumers and its timely introduction, which benefited from Malaysia’s drive towards electrification, have proven to be a crucial springboard for the revitalised Lotus brand in Malaysia.

This has significantly strengthened Lotus’ status as a premier-class marque in tandem with the brand’s energized lineup of enthusiast-focused vehicles and its aggressive push towards electrification. The Emira and upcoming models are scheduled to arrive here as well. The rate of growth for Lotus Cars Malaysia will also increase dramatically in order to give customers more access to the brand and to establish a stronger presence in the upper echelon of the market, said Jack Zaal.
