Record-Breaking Year In 2025 As Renault UK Wins One Award Every 5 Days

The numbers are astounding. Renault UK won 83 industry awards in 2025, eclipsing its record-breaking number recorded in 2024 by 30 and picking up an award on average every five days!

The awards recognise the strength of the brand’s passenger car and LCV ranges, with many bestowed on its increasingly popular all-electric models that continue to set the standard in their sectors.

Fresh from its launch in early 2025, the star of the awards was the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, which accounted for over a third of those won. Accolades for what has been the UK’s best-selling EV several times during 2025 were led by the ‘International Car of the Year’, which made Renault one of the very few manufacturers to win the title two years in a row – the Scenic winning last year.

The Renault 4 captured the Best Cars of the Year trophy in August last year to make that award the first for the Renault 4.

It was the same at the Scottish Car of the Year Awards. Renault 5 won the overall ‘Car of the Year’ title after the Scenic lifted it in 2024, with the back-to-back wins being the first in the history of the long-established awards.

Likewise, the overall success for the Renault 4 at the New Car World Championships 2025/2026, run by the Best Car Awards organisation, followed the Renault 5 winning the same ‘World Car Champion’ crown at the 2024/2025 awards.

Elsewhere, R5 collected a huge haul of awards that haloed everything from its value to its suitability for fleet customers.

Mere months after arriving on UK roads, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric has already won eight awards in 2025, including Top Gear’s ‘Electric Car of the Year’ and Parkers’ ‘Car of the Year’. There were also trophies for the Scenic and Megane, meaning that every current Renault electric car won an award this year.

Including LCVs, with both the Master E-Tech and Kangoo E-Tech winning trophies, over 61% of the awards were won by the brand’s pure-electric vehicles.

The success of Renault’s two-legged approach to offering the best hybrid vehicles alongside the best electric vehicles was also recognised, with awards for the Rafale and Clio.

New Renault Master cemented its status as one of the most awarded Renault vehicles in the last 18 months, winning 12 awards during 2025, including being judged ‘Best Large Van’ at seven different awards.

Renault was also singled out several times for being ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ and even those models not launched yet found favour with the automotive media, with both the forthcoming fully electric Twingo and R5T3E mini supercar winning praise.

Adam Wood, Managing Director Renault UK, said: “These awards cap a momentous year for us and we are grateful for every single one. At a time when car buyers have never had so much choice, we are proud that Renault’s product line-up is recognised as class-leading by so many independent experts. Surpassing last year’s record number of awards demonstrates the momentum building at Renault. A huge thank you to everyone for the recognition – it means a lot to everyone at Renault Group across the world.”
