This is VinFast Electric Bike: DrgnFly

Vietnamese automaker VinFast has unveiled its DrgnFly electric bike at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. Priced from $2,800 with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty, the DrgnFly aims to disrupt the growing US eBike market with its standout design and smart features.

Taking its name from Vietnam’s legendary Thang Long (“ascending dragon”) history, the DrgnFly eBike packs a 750W rear hub motor allowing 28mph top speeds, aided by integrated torque sensing for smooth acceleration. Its removable Lithium battery enables up to 63 mile range per charge—perfect for urban commutes and weekend joyrides alike.

Smart features include Bluetooth connectivity, ride data statistics, remote diagnostics, and over-the-air (OTA) software update.

Our Thoughts

Personally, I am not a big fan of electric bikes – they are too expensive for my taste. I prefer a regular bike or scooter that costs a little more but doesn’t break the bank. However, judging by the sales figures, I seem to be in the minority with my opinion. Electric bikes are selling very well and becoming more and more popular. Even though I don’t want one myself, many people appear to love electric bikes and don’t mind paying a premium price for them.
