VinFast Turns Heads at CES 2024 with Free Ride Offer

Vietnamese electric vehicle startup VinFast is making a splash at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) by offering free rides in its VF 8 electric SUV. From January 9th to January 12th during CES, attendees can get a free lift to and from their hotels within a 15 mile radius of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

VinFast is deploying a fleet of its 7-seater VF 8 models, which have a driving range of 264 miles per charge. Convention goers tired from walking the extensive CES show floors can simply book a ride using VinFast’s QR code. The service aims to showcase VinFast’s electric vehicles in a practical, convenient way.

This creative promotional tactic solves two problems at once: it provides sore feet relief for CES 2024 attendees while also getting VinFast’s electric SUVs in front of potential customers. Even attendees who may not have previously heard of VinFast could end up taking a ride out of convenience.

With over 130,000 attendees expected at CES, VinFast’s free rides could end up providing the struggling start-up with an invaluable marketing boost. Whether wait times for the free rides remain reasonable has yet to be seen. But the offer may be tempting enough for many CES 2024 participants to choose VinFast over alternatives like Uber.
