BMW Malaysia Previews New Locally Assembled BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport

BMW Group Malaysia recently previewed the latest facelifted plug-in hybrid variant of their best-selling premium Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV), the new locally assembled BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport. The updated X5 xDrive50e sees significant improvements in performance and efficiency, packing more power with greater electric range in a striking display of modern athletic elegance.

The new BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport features a new powertrain with a combined output of 489 hp – a powerful 96hp more than its predecessor. With 700 Nm of torque and capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, the X5 promises electrifying performance.

On the electric front, the X5 impresses with 110 km of electric driving range (WLTP), allowing most city drives to be done on pure electric power. Enhanced 7.4 kW charging enables a 0-100% charge in 4.5 hours.

Inside, the X5 greets drivers with the latest BMW technology including a 14.9-inch curved display with BMW Operating System 8.5. The perfectly crafted cabin oozes luxury with standard ambient lighting, Harman Kardon sound system, and “Merino” leather upholstery in Black or Tartufo.

Added standard features further pamper drivers, including BMW Comfort Access, Driving Assistant Professional, Parking Assistant Professional, and a choice of attractive exterior colors.

As BMW’s top-selling premium SAV in Malaysia, the muscular yet refined X5 continues that success in electrified style with the locally assembled xDrive50e M Sport, bringing BMW’s latest driving technologies to local roads with estimated pricing at RM 530,000 ($112,000).
