Ford and Lincoln Launch All-New 48-Inch Digital Experiences

Ford Motor Company has unveiled all-new Ford and Lincoln digital experiences that aim to seamlessly connect customers’ digital lives into their vehicles. The new experiences debut panoramic displays, integrated apps, enhanced personalization and over-the-air update capability.

“From the moment customers enter a vehicle with a Ford or Lincoln digital experience, their vehicle becomes a personalized space, with apps and content easily displayed front and center,” said Jim Farley, Ford president and CEO.

The new digital experiences allow customers to access their favorite smartphone apps and services directly through the vehicle’s touchscreen display. This includes entertainment, productivity, web browsing and smart home control apps.

Key features of the Ford and Lincoln digital experiences:

  • 48-inch panoramic display with highest resolution ever offered by Lincoln Nautilus
  • Integrated Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants
  • Ability to install apps via Google Play store
  • Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Personalized profiles, seating positions and dashboard layouts
  • Enhanced connectivity with built-in WiFi hotspot and 5G support
  • Faster processing and graphics for snappier response
  • Over-the-air update capability for new apps and features

“The availability of apps like YouTube, Spotify and Waze directly on the vehicle’s display, combined with excellent connectivity, personalization and an open, updatable software platform sets a new standard for connected vehicles,” said Ted Cannis, Ford senior director, Electric and Embedded Systems Engineering.

The Lincoln digital experience debuts on the 2024 Nautilus SUV, available now. The first Ford digital experience vehicle will be announced later this year.

With integrated cloud connectivity and smart device integration, Ford aims to unify and enhance both driving and digital experiences for the modern customer.
