New Alfa Romeo Milano Electric Vehicle to be Unveiled on April 10th

The Italian automaker Alfa Romeo is putting the finishing touches on its first fully electric vehicle, the Milano, which will debut at an unveiling event on April 10th. Alfa Romeo engineers have been conducting final validation and testing of the Milano at the historic Balocco proving ground, fine-tuning the driving dynamics and handling to meet the brand’s exacting standards.

“The Milano will offer best-in-class driving dynamics for an electric vehicle,” said Alfa Romeo spokesperson Marco Rossi. “It takes inspiration from legendary Alfa Romeo sports cars like the 4C, 8C, and Giulia GTA.”

The Milano caps a strong 2023 for Alfa Romeo, with the brand posting a 30% increase in global sales compared to 2022. This positions Alfa Romeo with the highest growth rate among the top 15 premium automotive brands worldwide.

In Europe, Alfa Romeo’s 2023 sales were up 46%. The Middle East and Africa was the brand’s fastest growing region at 74%, while the India Asia Pacific region saw a 7% bump. Alfa Romeo also saw progress establishing its foothold in crucial markets like the U.S. and China.

The development team working on the Milano is comprised of veteran Alfa Romeo engineers with deep expertise engineering the brand’s most acclaimed performance models over the past decade.

“We are focused on imbuing the Milano with the characteristic Alfa Romeo spirit of driving passion and excitement,” said chief engineer Domenico Bagnasco.
