Polestar 4 Electric SUV Available Now in China

Polestar has revealed their quickest production vehicle to date with their latest launch, the Polestar 4. Capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds, the dual-motor Polestar 4 packs a powerful punch with 400kW (544hp) and 686Nm of torque.

Making use of permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, the Polestar 4 is available in both dual- and single-motor configurations. The single motor rear-wheel drive variants focus more on efficiency while the dual-motor all-wheel drive models prioritize performance. Even with the high power outputs, Polestar has kept drivability and control top of mind for everyday use.

The range-topping dual-motor long range version comes equipped with a sizable 102kWh battery, targeting a WLTP range of up to 560km on a single charge. With 200kW DC fast charging capability, the Polestar 4 can also replenish its batteries rapidly when needed. Additional features like a heat pump, vehicle-to-load charging, and an advanced semi-active suspension system further improve efficiency, functionality and handling.

On the inside, the Polestar 4 ushers in the next generation of infotainment powered by Android Automotive OS and a 15.4” central touchscreen display. With Google built-in and constant OTA updates, the connected technologies keep this electric SUV at the cutting edge.

Pricing for the Polestar 4 starts at RMB 339,900 in China. Already off to a strong start, Polestar has delivered 880 units of the EV in Q4 2023, contributing to a 6% growth in global deliveries for the brand in 2023 vs 2022. With exhilarating performance in a practical package, the new Polestar 4 looks set to supercharge the company’s sales momentum. Delivery will start in Europe and Australia in several weeks.
