Tesla Expands Charging Network in Malaysia

Electric vehicle company Tesla announced the opening of 4 new 250 KW Superchargers and 4 destination chargers at their service center in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. This brings the total number of Tesla Superchargers available to drivers in Malaysia to 23.

The company stated that a Model 3 Long Range vehicle operating at peak efficiency can recover up to 120km of charge from these Superchargers in just 5 minutes. That translates to charging at rates of up to 1,600 miles per hour – demonstrating the ultra-fast charging speeds possible.

The new charging stations in Cyberjaya will help serve the needs of Tesla drivers as interest and adoption of electric vehicles continues to grow in Malaysia. Drivers can locate the new Superchargers and destination chargers using the Tesla smartphone app.

It’s truly inspiring to see Malaysians wholeheartedly embracing the electric vehicle revolution. The expanding charging infrastructure, particularly with the presence of the Tesla network, will further incentivize drivers to go electric and spur rapid EV market growth in the country in the coming years.
