Tesla Model 3: 3 Reasons Not to Buy Now

Tesla has yet to release the updated Model 3 in the United States, its largest market. The new model, dubbed “Highland,” has already been released in other countries, including Malaysia and China.

There are three reasons why consumers should wait to buy a Tesla Model 3 in the US:

  1. The updated Model 3 is expected to be released soon. Tesla has not yet announced a release date for the Highland in the US, but it is expected to be available by the end of 2023.
  2. The price of the current Model 3 is likely to drop when the Highland is released. Tesla typically lowers the prices of its older models when it releases new ones.
  3. Buyers of electric vehicles may be eligible for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500 starting in January 2024 at the point of purchase. The credit is available to buyers who meet certain income requirements.

Consumers in the US who are considering buying a Tesla Model 3 should wait until the updated Highland model is released. The Highland is expected to be available by the end of 2023, and its release is likely to cause the price of the current Model 3 to drop. Additionally, buyers of electric vehicles may be eligible for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500 starting in January 2024 at the point of purchase.
