This is the Stunning Genesis X Convertible Concept

Genesis Motor wowed guests at an exclusive California reveal event by pulling the wraps off its breathtaking new X Convertible concept car. The X Convertible rounds out Genesis’s concept EV trilogy with a beautiful open-air grand tourer designed to deliver an unparalleled sensory connection to the environment.

The X Convertible boasts the same underlying architecture and electric drivetrain as the earlier X Concept coupe and X Speedium concepts. But Genesis designers have crafted a fresh, elegant exterior and cabin featuring inspired details like a concave rear ducktail, quad ellipse tail lights, and interior fabric and color details drawn from traditional Korean architecture and aesthetic elements.

The result is a concept that elegantly blurs the line between exterior and interior, embedding cultural touches throughout while allowing occupants to immerse themselves in the feeling of relaxed open-air driving. Genesis notes keen attention to the audio experience as well, having tapped a specialist to help optimize acoustics for the X Convertible’s unique interior space.

While still a concept vehicle, the X Convertible taps into strong demand among EV buyers for more unique and emotional offerings. Tesla’s success with the Model S3XY highlights interest in sustainability paired with inspired design. And by eliminated the engine noise and vibration of traditional convertibles, Genesis also solves a key detractor for drop-top driving purists.

The X Convertible conceives an aspirational yet achievable vision for the electric convertible segment, which – with the transition to EVs well underway across most automakers – sits poised for growth. With stunning exterior lines, an interior tailored for an immersive user experience, and an EV powertrain at its foundation, the Genesis X Convertible makes a compelling case for the emotional and sensory connections sustainable electric vehicles could offer.
