2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid: Pricing Revealed, Starting at $28,290

Kia recently announced pricing and new details for the 2024 Sportage hybrid crossover SUV models. The popular Sportage, which was fully redesigned for 2023, gets some thoughtful updates for 2024 including now standard rear seat-mounted side airbags and LED headlights across all trims.

Available in front-wheel drive LX, all-wheel drive LX, EX and SX Prestige trims, base pricing for the 2024 Sportage hybrid starts at $28,290 for the base LX trim, excluding the $1,325 destination charge. Going up the range, the AWD LX starts at $30,090, followed by the AWD EX at $31,990 and topping out with the loaded AWD SX Prestige model at $37,190.

All Sportage hybrid models are powered by a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine paired with an electric motor and battery pack. Total combined output is 177 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Towing capacity is 2,000 pounds with trailer brakes equipped. Fuel economy ranges from 38-43 mpg combined depending on trim configuration.

On the safety and technology front, Kia continues to equip the Sportage with an extensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems. Key highlights include standard forward collision avoidance with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist and departure warning, rear cross traffic alerts and safe exit warning on most models. The SX Prestige model adds extras like parking sensors, remote smart parking assist, navigation-based cruise control and highway driving assist.

Exterior dimensions remain unchanged, with the 2024 Sportage measuring 183.5 inches long, 73.4 inches wide and 65.6-66.3 inches tall including standard roof rails. It rides on a 108.5 inch wheelbase, delivering a spacious interior for both passengers and cargo.

The 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid delivers a compelling package of stylish design, comprehensive safety features, remarkable fuel efficiency, and optional all-weather capability, solidifying its position as a leader in the small crossover SUV segment. Its exceptional combination of value, efficiency, and all-around performance makes it clear why the Sportage Hybrid continues to be one of Kia’s most sought-after vehicles. While the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid offers similar attributes, starting at $31,475, the Sportage Hybrid presents a compelling alternative with its competitive starting price and undeniable appeal.
