Chery Malaysia Opens Biggest 4S Centre In The Country

Chery Malaysia just keeps going from strength to strength. It has recently started operations at yet another new 4S Centre as part of its ongoing network expansion efforts in the nation. Situated in Medini, Johor Bahru, the most recent Chery 4S Centre is the biggest of its kind in Malaysia.

And for the record, when we say “4S,” we are referring to these centers being a “one-stop shop for sales, service, spare parts and paint services.”

The new Chery Medini 4S facility, run by dealer-partner Gagner Auto, has a body and paint shop, sales, and spare parts departments in addition to other amenities to “provide customers with a seamless and comprehensive Chery experience,” according to s spokesperson.

Furthermore, the brand’s dedication to sustainability and local and international governments’ green programmes are reflected in the new flagship store’s “eco-friendly design” and emphasis on energy-efficient operations. Like the grand opening of the Chery Kuantan 4S the soon-to-be-launched electric Omoda E5 was also previewed at the launch of the Medini 4S Centre.

The Chery Omoda E5, which was first revealed at a media event last month, is scheduled to officially debut in Malaysia in March 2024. It will be powered by a single motor that generates 204 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. A 61 kWh LFP battery pack delivers a claimed range of up to 430 km on the WLTP test cycle, which in the real world translates to around 360 kms.

Chery Malaysia Vice President Lee Wen Hsiang said recently, “With the upcoming launch of our Omoda E5, the Chery group advocates a more sustainable environment, and to stimulate investment in renewable energy infrastructure development while promoting smart city integration.”

The new Chery Medini 4S Centre is located in Johor and is open from 8.30 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday, and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday.

OUR THOUGHTS

Chery has big goals—to seize up to 20% of the Malaysian market for electric vehicles by 2024. And with EVs like the Omoda E5 and plans to further expand its 4S network across the country, those goals seem more attainable each week.
