BMW Malaysia Delivers Over 15,000 Vehicles in Record 2023 Sales

BMW Group Malaysia recently announced that 2023 marked another year of record sales performance, with over 15,000 BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad vehicles delivered to customers nationwide.

The BMW brand accounted for the majority of sales with nearly 11,700 premium vehicles sold. This was led by strong demand for the ever-popular 3 Series, of which over 2,600 units were delivered. The BMW X range of sports activity vehicles (SAVs) also saw impressive sales of 4,031 units, with the X5 topping the charts at nearly 1,300 units.

MINI saw a 42% jump in sales for 2023, with over 1,700 vehicles delivered to sophisticated Malaysian drivers seeking the ultimate compact premium ride. The versatile MINI Countryman continues to lead the way for the brand, making up over 62% of MINI sales at 1,086 units.

On two wheels, over 1,500 new BMW Motorrad owners took to the roads last year, motivated by the growing Adventure motorcycle segment which saw over 700 new owners. The BMW R 1250 GS Adventure commanded this space with over 400 deliveries.

Across all brands, BMW Group Malaysia saw electrified vehicle sales explode in 2023, with over 3,600 EV units delivered – a 136% increase and making up 24.5% of total deliveries. This cements BMW’s leading position as Malaysia’s number one premium electric vehicle provider.

The remarkable 2023 sales numbers consolidate BMW Group’s position as Malaysia’s best-selling premium automotive company for the fourth straight year. With a slew of new model introductions slated for 2024, BMW Malaysia looks set to scale even greater heights in the year ahead.
