Choice Hotels Partners with Tesla to Add EV Charging for Guests

Choice Hotels International has announced an agreement with Tesla to provide electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for guests at participating hotels across its brands. This will allow Choice properties to install universal EV chargers, meeting growing demand from travelers and eliminating a major pain point for EV drivers. These chargers are capable of adding up to 44 miles or range per hour.

Through this move, Choice aims to help its hotel owners drive incremental revenue by offering an amenity that can attract EV-owning guests. With most Choice hotels located near highways and suburban areas, they are well positioned to cater to road trippers needing a charge.

The company says nearly half of the Cambria brand’s hotels already have EV charging in place. And travelers can easily find Choice hotels with chargers through choicehotels.com and the mobile app.

As EV adoption grows globally, Choice is getting ahead of the curve to address sustainability-focused guests. Charging availability brings a competitive edge over rival hotels. And for franchise owners, installing chargers supplied by Tesla provides another potential revenue stream.
