Deliveries Start in Malaysia For Popular Tesla Model 3 Performance

Last Saturday, it was announced that Tesla Malaysia would start deliveries of the Model 3 Performance across the country. This flagship version of the Model 3 has a starting price of RM242,000 and is already proving popular with over 100 units being delivered in the first few days.

The Model 3 Performance premiered in Malaysia in April 2024, sporting a dual-motor setup that can produce maximum output of 460 horsepower. With this configuration, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 262 km/h.

To differentiate it from other models, the “Bespoke Performance Design” employed on the Model 3 Performance, incorporates a rear diffuser, carbon fibre spoiler, and a variant-exclusive body kit. The Model 3 is clearly identifiable by its wheels, which are 20-inch forged performance wheels called “Warp Wheels.”

In terms of range, the Model 3 Performance can travel 582 km on a single charge (WLTP), which is less than the Long Range AWD’s maximum range. Another critical feature for owners and potential buyers is that it can be fully charged in under 15 minutes at a maximum DC rate of 250 kW, restoring 282 km of range.

Inside, the Model 3 gets some cool carbon fibre accents. Everything else about its interior is the same as the standard black Model 3 cabin with the two smartphone charging trays. For RM5,000, customers may also choose a white interior.

Delivered to Tesla Malaysia’s headquarters in Cyberjaya, the Model 3 Performance also lands in showrooms with a 4-year/80,000 km basic vehicle warranty while its high-voltage battery and drive unit come with an 8-year/192,000 km warranty.
