Late last week, Lotus announced a landmark moment in its electrification strategy: the introduction of Europe’s first and only hybrid technology capable of delivering 952 PS, paired with a combined driving range exceeding 1,200 km and up to 350 km of pure electric range. This breakthrough platform—called X Hybrid—will make its European debut in the upcoming Lotus ELETRE X, expanding the Eletre family and setting a new benchmark for electric‑first performance mobility.
The X Hybrid system made its global debut in China within the local‑market SUV known as Lotus FOR ME, which serves as the reference prototype for the technology. All technical data referenced in this release relates exclusively to the FOR ME model. European specifications for ELETRE X will be published at a later date, closer to the official European launch in June 2026.

The Lotus X Hybrid platform has been engineered to deliver the immediacy and refinement of an EV with the long‑distance capability of a hybrid drivetrain. It seamlessly switches among pure EV, series hybrid, and parallel hybrid operation to ensure optimum performance, efficiency and real‑world range.
