New 2025 Porsche Taycan Models boast more Power, Range and Faster Charging

Porsche has unveiled extensive updates to its all-electric Taycan sports sedan and Cross Turismo models for the 2025 model year. The new Taycans feature more power, greater range, faster acceleration and the possibility of even quicker high-speed charging.

Porsche boosted output across the Taycan lineup, with some models gaining over 140 additional horsepower. This translates into sharper acceleration, with the base Taycan sedan now reaching 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, 0.6 seconds quicker than before. The new top-of-the-line Taycan Turbo S can now sprint to 60 mph in a blistering 2.3 seconds.

The updated Taycans also benefit from a larger 105 kWh battery pack, up from 93 kWh previously. This contributes to increased range, with Porsche claiming over 630 miles is possible under optimal conditions. The new Taycans can also charge even faster, with charging capacity increased to 320 kW enabling an 10-80% charge in as little as 18 minutes.

Other highlights of the 2025 Porsche Taycan range include newly standard adaptive air suspension, more powerful permanent magnet synchronous motors, a next-generation heat pump, and an extensively expanded list of standard equipment like ambient lighting, heated steering wheel and wireless phone charging.

The restyled Taycans feature subtle exterior updates including new LED headlights and taillights, wider front fenders and an illuminated Porsche badge. Inside is a redesigned control layout and new display functions like in-car video streaming.

The 2025 Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo are available to order now, with U.S. deliveries beginning this summer. Pricing starts at $99,400 for the base Taycan, ranging up to $211,700 for the top Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo model.

CARLIST THOUGHTS
