New Bentley Continental GT Azure Finally Debuts In Malaysia

Bentley has a new flagship. The Continental GT Azure, which completes the Azure lineup in Malaysia, has just been launched by Bentley Kuala Lumpur. If you want of these beauties in your driveway though, you will have to fork over a healthy RM2,976,000 before taxes.

When you thought Bentley’s vehicles could not get any more opulent, the company added the “Azure” series to its roster in 2022 to provide its models with even more comfort and luxury. The Azure family is now complete with the arrival of the Continental GT Azure, as the other Azure models are already available in Malaysia.

The GT Azure may be distinguished from the other Continental GT models by simply looking for the sparkling chrome vertical vanes on its grille. Along with a set of 22-inch wheels with black painted detailing, the car also comes with “Azure” fender badges.

Powered by a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbocharged petrol engine pumping out 550 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque, propulsion is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Even with all of its grandeur, this Bentley can jump from zero to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 318 km/h.

The Continental GT Azure’s 48V active anti-roll control system, which improves ride comfort and reduces body roll for a smoother ride, is essential to the car’s compliant ride. When necessary, the technology electronically disconnects the anti-roll bars to soften the ride. In only 0.3 seconds, it can recouple and reapply 1,300 Nm of anti-roll torque to maintain the body’s stability through corners. The sophisticated anti-roll bars are complemented with a three-chamber air suspension system.

The interior has been designed with the needs of the contemporary luxury buyer in mind. A fixed panoramic glass sunroof is one of the Azure’s cabin’s primary features. Focusing on sound quality in the cabin, engineers have created an environment with less outside noise, that could otherwise reduce driver attention, impact memory, and increase stress response. Bentley tells us that the Azure lets you “escape the outside world.”

The Continental GT Azure also boasts several noteworthy features, such as the open-pore crown cut walnut veneer, sports foot pedals, 24-way adjustable front seats, Harmony Diamond Quilt on the seats and doors, and an analogue Bentley clock with a simple bezel.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

For those with deep pockets, the GT Azure is the ultimate in ultra-luxurious continent-crossing grand tourers. With sharper edges defining a new exterior look, the Azure has everything the discerning driver would want, starting with a 55hp V8 engine with supercar-like acceleration—and supercar driving.
