New Honda Prologue SUV Boasts 296 Miles of Range: Everything You Need to Know

Honda has revealed full details on the highly-anticipated 2024 Honda Prologue, its first dedicated battery-electric SUV. The Prologue promises best-in-class 296 miles of EPA-rated range in base trim, starting at an MSRP of $47,400 before incentives.

Arriving at Honda dealerships nationwide next month, the 2024 Prologue aims to advance Honda’s electrification strategy with generous space, handy tech features, and lively handling. The Prologue offers up to 288 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque from an available dual-motor AWD powertrain.

The base Prologue EX starts at $47,400 MSRP and includes Honda Sensing safety suite, 19-inch wheels, Google built-in services, wireless smartphone integration, heated front seats, and more. Upgraded Touring and Elite trims add extra amenities and optional AWD.

All Prologue models come with access to America’s largest public DC fast charging networks, enabling 65 miles of range from just 10 minutes of 150kW charging. Comprehensive home charging solutions are also included, with installation credits and charging credits from EVgo and Electrify America.

“The all-new Prologue represents a major step toward Honda’s vision of 100% EV sales by 2040,” said a Honda executive. “With its class-leading range, standard tech, and available AWD, the affordable Prologue meets the needs of mainstream buyers looking to make the transition to electric.”

Seeking to simplify home charging, Honda will provide all 2024 Prologue buyers with an installation credit for a Level 2 charging station ($500) or portable Level 1/Level 2 charging kit ($250). Redeemed through Honda’s Home Electrification program, the credit allows customers to access a network of certified installers and even chat with Energy Advisors on rebates and incentives. The 2024 Honda Prologue electric SUV heads to dealers in March.
