New Limited Edition Mercedes-AMG A45S Launched In Malaysia

Finished in striking Green Hell Magno paint, the new Mercedes-AMG A45S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition has just been launched by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia in limited numbers. Very limited numbers. Try 10 units only.  At RM558,888 on the road, it costs RM50,000 more than the standard A45S 4MATIC+.

Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+

The A45S was named the 2024 Hot Hatch of the Year by Britain’s What Car? Magazine, giving it some significant street cred in sports car circles.

Its powertrain is the same as that of the A45S 4MATIC+ facelift meaning that it boasts the same 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder M139 engine, generating 421 hp and 500 Nm. With the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive setup mated to an 8-speed AMG Speedshift 8G dual-clutch gearbox, the A45S can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a startling 3.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 270 km/h.

As mentioned above, the company employs bespoke AMG Green Hell Magno exterior paintwork that gets its name from the famed Nurburgring circuit which goes by that nickname. The vehicle also comes standard with an Aerodynamic Package and Night Package, which comprise gloss black bumper canards with yellow accents and a yellow-accented front splitter.

It also comes with a subtle AMG logo and large “A 45 S” lettering on the doors with an AMG crest on the bonnet. Additionally, 19-inch forged alloy wheels with yellow accents are included with the Limited Edition while the side skirts, spoiler, and wing mirrors have also been adorned in the same green, black, and yellow combination.

Inside, this AMG is equipped with an AMG steering wheel, AMG Performance seats with yellow “A45S” embroidery, and Artico synthetic leather with Microcut microfibre upholstery. Additionally, there is yellow contrast stitching on the door panels and dashboard. On the other hand, the standard A45S 4MATIC+ seatbelts are replaced with standard black ones.

Additionally, there are AMG floor mats with “45S” text and stitching in yellow, as well as illuminated door sills with AMG lettering finished in yellow. The A45S Limited Edition also has a sliding panoramic sunroof, a Burmester surround sound system, and an ambient lighting system with 64 colours.

A 360-degree surround vision monitor and a driving assistance package with lane keep assist (LKA), adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind spot monitoring system (BSM), autonomous emergency braking (AEB), and exit warning help are among the safety features available on the vehicle.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

Well, well, anyone wanting a very special, (very!) limited edition AMG hot hatch should look no further than the A45S 4MATIC+. Powered by one of the last, great turbocharged 2.0-litre engines, before electrification takes over, this A45S comes in eye-popping bespoke green paintwork, named after the Nurburgring of all places and employs a rather unique interior for those who love to drive. For those with the cash, get one because we think it’ll become a collector’s item and only appreciate in value.
