New Mazda CX-3 Launched In Malaysia From RM115K

We know that Mazda fans have been hanging out for this one, but the newly updated Mazda CX-3 has just been unveiled in Malaysia by Bermaz Motor. Two new variations, the 1.5L Plus and 2.0L Plus, have been added to the lineup, effectively replacing the 1.5L and 2.0L Core types that were previously available. Fully imported (CBU) from Thailand, the Mazda CX-3 is available in Malaysia for RM115,720 on the road.

Fitted as standard on Malaysian-spec models, you will find automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, rear fog lights, automatic folding side mirrors, automatic wipers, and rear parking sensors. A powered sunroof, front parking sensors, and front LED fog lights are among the optional extras included with the 2.0L High version.

Both the 1.5 Plus and 2.0L Plus models are shod with 16-inch alloys on the new, while the flagship 2.0L is fitted with 18-inch alloys.

Additionally, Mazda buyers in Malaysia can select from seven body colours including Aero Grey, Snowflake White Pearl, Jet Black, Machine Grey, Polymetal Grey, Soul Red Crystal, and Platinum Quartz, which is only available for the 2.0L High model.

The 1.5L’s 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated SkyActiv engine is paired to a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic gearbox generating 114 hp and 149 Nm. Meanwhile, the more potent 2.0-litre naturally aspirated SkyActiv engine powers the CX-3 2.0L Plus and 2.0L High, pumping out 154hp and 206 Nm.

The interior of the Malaysian-spec CX-3 has features including an 8-inch Mazda Connect infotainment display that now supports Apple CarPlay on top of Android Auto, an electronic parking brake, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and paddle shifters.

Additional features found on the top-spec CX-3 2.0L High include a heads-up display, auto-dimming rearview mirror, single-zone automatic air conditioning, as well as 6 airbags, emergency brake assist, rear cross-traffic alert and blind spot monitor.

OUR THOUGHTS

With its just-right size and price for the local market, class-beating looks, class-leading handling and new interior features, the upgraded CX-3 will definitely hit a nerve in the marketplace. And thankfully it now supports Apple CarPlay while boasting improved safety features.
