New Neta X Debuts In Malaysia From RM120,000

Three versions of the 2024 Neta X are available in Malaysia: 400 Comfort, 400 Luxury, and 500 Luxury. The device has finally made its debut there. The Neta X is priced starting at RM119,888 with the flagship model topping out at RM 135,888.

The Neta X’s dimensions are 1,860 mm in width, 1,628 mm in height, and 4,619 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. That makes it bigger than the Chinese rivals Omoda E5 and Atto 3.

The Neta X comes in five colour options, Pearl White, Amber Brown, Sky Grey, Jet Black, and Glacier Blue. In Malaysia, the EV comes standard with the following external options including automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), LED taillights, a panoramic sunroof, roof rack, heated auto-folding side mirrors with turn signal, rain-sensing wipers and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The same 163 horsepower and 210 Nm single-motor front-wheel drive system will power every Neta X model sold in Malaysia. With a top speed of 150 km/h, all versions can jump from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds.

With a 52.49 kWh battery pack, the 400 Comfort and 400 Luxury models have a NEDC-rated driving range of 401 km, although expect that number to fall any over 10% in the real world. However, the 500 Luxury model has a larger 64.14 kWh battery pack, which translates into a 480 km NEDC driving range—under 420 in the real world.

It will require nine hours to fully charge the Neta X using the internal 6.6 kW AC charger but takes just 30 minutes to fully charge from 30% to 80% using a DC fast charger.

Leather upholstery and a computerised instrument cluster are standard interior features of the Neta X in Malaysia. It is also fitted with a full HD 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 system-on-a-chip (SoC), while offering voice control, 8 speakers and front 6-way powered adjustable seats.

Customers who book their car from 25 – 31 July will get benefits including double booking value, a complimentary wallbox or 2500kWh ChargEV Credit, as well as complimentary maintenance for 2 years or 40,000 km.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

With its sleek, futuristic looks, competitive range, cool interior features and reasonable pricing, the Neta X will enter the market as an arch-rival to the Omoda E5 and the Atto 3. And if you visit the showroom over the next few days, you can access the special offers including that complimentary callbox charger.
