Tesla China Sets New Delivery Record

Tesla’s China division reported delivering over 18,500 vehicles in the country last week, setting a new weekly record for the electric automaker. According to registration data, Tesla registered 18,500 new vehicles in China from December 18-24.

Last week’s registrations of 18,500 vehicles represented Tesla China’s third highest weekly total ever. The electric vehicle maker also registered 18,300 vehicles the previous week, marking its fourth best week to date.

Tesla continues to perform well in the Chinese EV market, which is also the world’s largest market for electric vehicles. The company has invested heavily in its Shanghai Gigafactory, where it manufactures Model 3 and Model Y vehicles tailored to Chinese consumers. With strong demand and record production levels, Tesla appears poised to end 2023 with a new high for annual deliveries in China.
