Tesla Cybertruck: A Bold Bet On Difference

Tesla has a lot riding on the unveiling of its Cybertruck on Thursday. The event will start around 1 p.m. at the company’s Gigafactory Texas plant in Austin.

The Cybertruck can be compared to the original iPhone model. At the time of the iPhone’s release, some wanted Apple to include a physical keyboard. Many likely stuck with their BlackBerry devices initially, hesitant to switch to the touchscreen iPhone.

But now, many adore Apple products for being easy to use and secure.

According to CarDealershipGuy on Twitter, “Cybertruck is going to do massive numbers” because “it’s different… People want different.”

With over 2 million reservations to date, even if half canceled their orders, Tesla would still face a challenge fulfilling the remaining orders. Some have joked they hope others cancel so they can get their trucks faster.

The lines of people wanting to see the Cybertruck in stores have been insane.
