The New Audi Q6 e-tron: Range and Stunning OLED Interior

Audi has taken the wraps off the highly anticipated Q6 e-tron, the brand’s first production model built on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) co-developed with Porsche.

The electric SUV sets new benchmarks for performance, range, charging speeds, driving dynamics and design in Audi’s EV lineup, according to the German automaker.

“The Audi Q6 e-tron marks the next technological leap in premium electric mobility,” said Audi CEO Gernot Döllner at the world premiere. “It embodies Vorsprung durch Technik.”

Q6 e-tron quattro and SQ6 e-tron launch variants boast impressive specs:

  • 315 kW (422 hp) / 340 kW (456 hp) with launch control (Q6 quattro)
  • 360 kW (483 hp) / 380 kW (510 hp) with launch control (SQ6)
  • 0-60 mph in 5.0 / 4.2 seconds with launch control
  • Over 300 miles EPA-estimated range (Q6 quattro)
  • 270 kW DC fast charging from 10-80% in 21 minutes

PPE platform allows for an optimal design with a long 2,899 mm wheelbase and short overhangs. Paired with new lighting innovations like active digital light signatures, the Q6 has a striking yet aerodynamic look.

The interior boasts a cutting-edge digital cockpit with a curved Audi MMI panoramic OLED display and augmented reality head-up display. Voice assistant technology is seamlessly integrated throughout, providing a fully immersive and intuitive experience.

Built at Audi’s Ingolstadt plant, the Q6 e-tron quattro and SQ6 e-tron start at €74,700 and €93,800 respectively when order books open in March 2024, with deliveries beginning summer 2024. Pricing in the US market is expected to be similar.

Carlist Thoughts

The new Audi Q6 e-tron electric SUV is pretty impressive on paper. The over 300 mile range and strong acceleration put it in the same league as the Tesla Model Y Long Range. The standout feature seems to be the sleek interior with that curved OLED display and augmented reality heads-up display.
