This Is The New 2025 Polestar 3 SUV

Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand, has announced additional variants of the highly anticipated 2025 Polestar 3 SUV, along with a new starting MSRP of $73,400 before taxes and fees. The Polestar 3 Long range Dual motor performance EV SUV, set to arrive this summer, will now include the Pilot Pack as standard equipment.

The Long range Dual motor with Pilot Pack and Plus Pack will have an MSRP of $78,900 before taxes and fees. The Plus Pack includes a 1,610-watt Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system with 25 speakers and a fresh air subwoofer, bio-attributed MicroTech or animal welfare wool seats, 21-inch Plus wheels, and heated rear seats. This variant produces 489 hp and 620 lb-ft of torque, with an estimated EPA combined range of 315 miles.

For those seeking even more performance, the Polestar 3 Long range Dual motor with Pilot Pack and Performance Pack will have an MSRP of $79,400 before taxes and fees. The Performance Pack features Polestar engineered chassis tuning, 22-inch Performance forged wheels, a software performance upgrade boosting output to 517 hp and 671 lb-ft of torque, a 0-60 mph sprint time of 4.7 seconds, and “Swedish gold” accents including the seat belts. This variant has an estimated EPA combined range of 279 miles.

The top-of-the-line Long range Dual motor with Pilot Pack, Plus Pack, and Performance Pack will have an MSRP of $84,900 before taxes and fees, with the same performance specifications and 279-mile range as the variant with just the Performance Pack.

All versions come equipped with a 111 kWh battery pack and a maximum DC fast charging speed of 250 kW. Additionally, all models qualify for $7,500 EV incentives on lease transactions.

Production has recently started in Chengdu, China, with additional production slated to begin in South Carolina, USA, in mid-2024. Polestar 3 deliveries are scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2024.

Carlist Thoughts

It’s hard not to compare the Polestar 3 to the Tesla Model X given their similar pricing in the luxury electric SUV segment. While the Polestar 3’s 0-60 mph times of 4.7-5.0 seconds are much slower than the Model X, its premium interior looks is quite refine. That said, the Model X’s exotic falcon-wing doors give it an undeniably unique factor. Either way, we have more options now and maybe this will push Tesla and others to be better.
