New Mercedes EQE 350+ Electric Art Debuts In Malaysia

The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line is the new entry-level version of the EQE sedan that Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has just introduced to the country boasting a price of RM379,888.

Employing an understated exterior design the car exudes AMG’s bling treatment. The EQE 350+ Electric Art series features wheels that are still 19 inches, but they have a new design, less aggressive bumpers and no rear spoiler. The local EQE sedan’s lineup includes the EQE 350+ Electric Art Line for RM379,888, the EQE 350+ AMG Line costing RM429,888 and the Mercedes-AMG EQE 53 4MATIC+ priced from RM649,888.

The EQE 350+ Electric Art is powered by the same single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup that produced 292 horsepower and 565 Nm in the original EQE 350+, which made its debut in Malaysia. With only the rear wheels receiving power, the all-electric sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds when paired with a single-speed automatic gearbox.

The addition of 22 kW AC charging, which is standard even on the entry-level EQE Electric Art is a significant update to the EQE sedan lineup. This reduces the amount of time it takes to charge an AC device at home or in public by half.

The inside of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line is identical to the previous model’s conventional non-hyperscreen dashboard. In contrast to the new EQE 350+ AMG, a few features are missing, such as a Burmester surround sound system and a sunroof.

In terms of safety features, the new EQE 350+ Electric Art comes with the following— Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, Driving Assistance Package Plus, 360° camera parking package, and MBUX augmented reality navigation system.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

This certainly takes Mercedes’ EV look to a while new level. Correctly coined Electric Art Line due to its unconventional styling and bespoke proportions this car offers a powertrain that offers adequate charging infrastructure and a keen price range.
