BYD Starts Malaysian Nationwide Expansion With New 3S Centre

Located in the centre of Melaka, BYD just opened its newest 3S Centre. The new Sing Kwung Motors-managed facility intends to offer a variety of services to BYD clients in the area, such as sales consultations, test drives, and extensive after-sales assistance.

“We are thrilled to introduce our newest 3S centre in Melaka, underscoring our dedication to serving customers in Malaysia,” said Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors Southeast Asia.

“This achievement signifies BYD’s continuous dedication to offering superior goods and services while supporting the environmentally friendly growth of the transport sector in the area,” Mr Gan continued.

In addition to sales consultations and vehicle test drive opportunities, consumers are welcome to peruse BYD’s newest selection of electric cars, which boasts cutting-edge design, exceptional performance, and environmental friendliness, according to BYD.

The Chinese firm is eager to bolster its position in the Melaka region even more, hoping to have 30 network dealerships in Malaysia by the end of 2024.

In all, BYD has introduced three models in Malaysia since 2022. This comprises the recently released Seal sedan, the Dolphin hatchback, and the Atto 3 SUV.

The Standard Range and Extended Range specs make up the Atto 3 lineup, which debuted in Malaysia at a starting price of RM149,800.  Atto 3 units for the latest model year are now available with an RM20,000 discount in reaction to the recent debut of the Chery Omoda E5, with the Atto 3 Standard Range currently available for RM129,800. Buyers should take note that this is a limited-time offer that is only valid for the entry-level Standard Range variation and is subject to stock availability.

The Dolphin is available in two identically named models starting at RM100,530. Currently positioned as BYD’s flagship model in Malaysia, the Seal comes in two variants: Performance and Premium. The competing Tesla Model 3 is available for RM 179,800.

Carlist Thoughts

BYD will be a force to reckon with in the coming years as it expands its dealerships and model lineups across the country. With three models already on sale, BYD is proving that it means business, and by offering some of the most competitive prices on the market, the brand will only go from strength to strength.
