Cadillac F1 Team Unveils New Logo At Ritzy Miami Launch

During a star-studded event at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix on Saturday, the new Cadillac Formula 1 Team debuted their new official team logo in a dramatic teaser movie. With a high-profile introduction that matched the brand’s luxury and ambition, the team, which is scheduled to join the FIA Formula 1 World Championship grid in 2026, took centre stage at Queen in South Beach, Miami.

The 1978 F1 world champ and Indy 500 winner Mario Andretti and former Ferrari F1 driver Eddie Irvine were among the motorsport aristocracy that attended the VIP event, which actor and former NFL star Terry Crews hosted. One of the night’s main highlights was the first-ever look at the team’s striking new branding, which symbolises Cadillac’s entry into the world’s most prestigious motorsport.

With its renowned Cadillac luxury brand, General Motors is entering Formula 1 with a 350-person squad to take on top teams like Red Bull Racing, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, and Ferrari. The participation is supported by a collaboration with TWG Motorsports, which is run by Dan Towriss and was established by the Andretti Global organisation—a team that participates in the Formula E World Championship and the IndyCar Series.

The team’s branding, which is influenced by Cadillac’s long history and American character, gives Formula 1’s customarily European landscape a new accent.

“Cadillac is honored to share the F1 stage with the best luxury brands from around the world,” commented GM President Mark Reuss. “It’s a brand whose legacy on and off the track is filled with innovation, technological precision, and timeless beauty. Our journey has been long, but from the very beginning, it has been about ambition… audacity… and now acceleration.”

Cadillac’s driver lineup has become the subject of increased conjecture over the last few months as the 11th team on the 2026 Formula 1 grid comes together. A sizable crowd gathered outside the Miami venue chanted “Get Checo!” in support of Mexican pilot Sergio “Checo” Perez after his departure from Red Bull Racing at the end of last season, although American IndyCar star Colton Herta is still a serious contender.

Cadillac will start racing in 2026 using Ferrari power units until 2029, when GM Performance Powertrains will take over as a fully FIA-approved F1 power unit supplier. Cadillac has named seasoned F1 expert Graeme Lowdon as team principal.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

Miami was the perfect backdrop to launch Cadillac’s new F1-focused logo. But for pundits and fans like yours truly, the brand’s continuing vagueness around the driver lineup is frustrating and only serves to prove that Cadillac must be finding it tough to get the right drivers for the right price. Will Checo get a seat and will Colton join him?
