Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Finally Goes On Sale In Malaysia

Ahead of its Malaysia debut, Chery recently gave a preview of their C-segment model, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. Order books have also opened for the Chinese SUV, which will be domestically manufactured (CKD) at Kulim Kedah, beginning March 25. The model will launch by the end of May for less than RM130,000.

The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro boasts dimensions of 4,513 mm in length, 1,862 mm in width, and 1,696 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm as well as a 175 mm ground clearance.

The Tiggo 7’s 1.6-litre turbocharged inline-4 petrol engine generates 197 hp and 290 Nm of torque, and is mated to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. With this powertrain you can expect a 0-100 km/h sprint time of under 8.3 seconds in addition to fuel economy of 7.0L/100km.

The Tiggo 7 Pro’s interior employs leatherette seats, ventilation for the front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 24.6-inch dual-screen setup with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 50W wireless charging pad with an active cooling system.

The Chery SUV comes with a 64-color ambient lighting system and an 8-speaker Sony audio system. When the back seats are folded down, the boot’s 475 litres capacity may be expanded to 1,672 litres.
