Limited Edition Suzuki Jimny Arctic Lands In Malaysian Showrooms

The Jimny is one of the most popular, most capable mini 4WDs in its segment. And now, in Malaysia, a limited-edition Suzuki Jimny with a distinctive Arctic theme has been unveiled by Naza Eastern Motors. This new RM167,900 model, known as the Arctic, was introduced during the third Jimny Lifestyle Drive, which gathered Jimny fans for a convoy to the Aman Rimba Private Estate in Janda Baik, Pahang.

The Jimny Arctic’s unique all-white appearance (and come on, really, from a car named ‘Arctic’ you’d expect nothing else), which substitutes a fully white finish for the typical black grille and bumper, is the undoubted highlight of the vehicle’s exterior.

A variety of premium extras are also included, such as a soft spare tyre cover with an Arctic motif, black mud flaps, stylish door visors and a three-panel glass tint for added comfort.

The Jimny Arctic’s interior is more upscale, with new trim around the 7-inch infotainment system, two-tone Nappa leather seats, and plush premium carpet mats.

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that powers the Suzuki Jimny Arctic still generates the same 102 horsepower and 130 Nm as the original version. Suzuki’s 44 AllGrip Pro system and a four-speed automatic gearbox distribute power to all four wheels. AllGrip Select puts the driver in total control allowing you to choose what experience you want by simply pushing and turning the electronic mode dial to select one of four driving modes – AUTO, SPORT, SNOW and LOCK – to suit the road surface or driving conditions.  

Suzuki Malaysia has added Pearl White and Chiffon as two additional colour options for the basic Jimny 3-Door AllGrip in addition to the Jimny Arctic.

Yes, you could say that the Arctic a just a basic ‘dress-up’ facelifted model, but those accessories sure give the Jimny a unique, and to be honest, quite desirable look. For the Arctic that starts at a reasonably-priced RM167,900, Naza Eastern Motors is now running an early bird sale with an RM7,000 rebate for a short period of time.
