New Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition Boasts Gold-Plated Hubcaps

If you thought the Lexus LM was luxurious, wait till you get a load of the latest fully electric Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition from China. Starting from RMB899,000 (about RM540k), this flagship model outperforms and outprices the already upscale base Zeekr 009 Grand Edition, which starts at a lower RMB789,000 (about RM474k).

Unlike the normal Zeekr 009, which comes with six or seven seats, the top-notch MPV has the more upscale four-seat arrangement. There are two front and two back seats in this opulent configuration.

Although the Collector’s Edition and the standard Zeekr 009 share a similar exterior, the Collector’s Edition has a lot of gold accents to provide a more luxurious look. The 20-inch alloy rims with floating hub caps, side steps, front bumpers, window frames, and door handles all have this.

This 009 gets 24K gold-plated hubcaps

The Zeekr 009 Collector’s Edition’s hub caps and front and rear badges are plated with three grams of 24-carat gold making a sizable statement.

The highlight is undoubtedly the two rear seats which each employ eight distinct massage programs with 24-way power-adjustable seats which are controlled by an eight-inch touchscreen tucked in between them. Of course, it also gets tray tables, leg rests, and headrests.

Zeekr’s “Private Intelligent Curtain Wall,” a massive 43-inch 4K entertainment screen for the back passengers running Zeekr OS 6.0 and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, helps to keep the front and rear cabins apart. Additionally, there is an 18-litre refrigerator to chill your drinks.

For passengers who must stay connected all the time, the 009 Grand Collector’s Edition offers two-way satellite messaging and calling capability that is paired with a 31-speaker Yamaha sound system.

With its powerful dual-motor drivetrain that produces a ballsy 788 horsepower and 810 Nm of torque, the flagship 009 will make sure you are never late.

This powertrain is more than capable of propelling the MPV from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds—that translates to a 176 horsepower and 117 Nm boost over the already remarkable Zeekr 009 powerplant available in Malaysia.

A 108 kWh lithium (NMV) battery pack with a 702 km range (CLTC) powers the electric motors and can recharge from 10% to 80% in 11.5 minutes thanks to its 800-volt design. Although we think the real world range is more 550 kms.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

Given its looks, specs and bespoke features, many pundits in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and beyond will be hoping that Zeekr adds the flagship to its slowly expanding lineup. The Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition is currently available in China, with delivery beginning in June 2025.
