Tesla Announces Opening Of New Supercharger Station In Malaysia

Tesla Malaysia has announced the opening of its newest Supercharging station at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, joining Pavilion KL and Sunway Pyramid among other prominent locations in the Klang Valley, in an effort to further improve its charging infrastructure for owners.

With six 250 kW DC superchargers and two AC destination chargers, the Pavilion Bukit Jalil supercharging station is a noteworthy addition to Tesla’s network. With this most recent installation, Malaysia now has 25 Destination Chargers and 30 Superchargers dispersed around major cities, which helps to increase the accessibility of Tesla charging stations.

Under perfect circumstances, a Tesla SuperCharger generating up to 250kW could charge a single Model 3 by up to 282 km worth of driving range in just 15 minutes.

A notable milestone achieved with the operational readiness of this Supercharging station is the enabled cross-country charging between Malaysia and Singapore. Tesla owners now have access to integrated support via the Tesla mobile app, which makes it simple and quick for them to navigate, precondition the vehicle’s battery, and use the charging station.

The Tesla Supercharging station is located at B1 Carpark of Pavilion Bukit Jalil and is open 24 hours with competitive charging rates—including a Supercharging rate of RM1.25/kWh.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

Tesla Malaysia now has at least 30 Supercharger stations peppered around major cities, a fact that will aid in the greater acceptance of EVs in the country. With the Pavilion Bukit Jalil Supercharging station, Tesla reinforces its commitment to sustainable transportation and providing Tesla owners with a reliable and efficient network for their charging needs.
