This is 2025 Chevrolet Equinox: What You Need to Know

Chevrolet has taken the wraps off the 2025 Equinox, revealing an all-new crossover SUV with a dramatic new design, the latest tech and safety innovations, and new performance-oriented trim levels.

Most notably, the next-gen Equinox adopts a bolder, truck-inspired exterior with a wider stance and squared-off wheel arches. LED lighting, larger wheels up to 20-inches, and three unique front-end treatments add visual flair. Inside, the focus shifts towards technology integration, with a 30% larger 11.3-inch touchscreen and digital gauge cluster.

New safety equipment includes standard Chevy Safety Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, and IntelliBeam headlamps. Teen Driver mode and Rear Seat Reminder also come standard. Upgraded options include Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Rear Park Assist, and Enhanced Lane Keep Assist.

Performance remains centered around a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine 175 hp, with selectable drive modes available for the first time on certain trims. Max towing capacity rises to 1,500 pounds.

The most trail-ready Equinox ACTIV model debuts with off-road styling cues, all-terrain tires, and unique interior details. Meanwhile, the street-focused RS trim receives visual enhancements like blacked-out exterior trim, red stitching, and RS logos.

Set to launch in 2024, pricing and other final specifications will be announced closer to production. But the 2025 Equinox promises to push Chevrolet’s top-selling crossover into a more modern, exciting direction when it hits dealers.

Our Thoughts

I must admit, if this SUV is priced around $26,000, it appears quite attractive – the new styling comes across as fresh and contemporary. Competing with established models like the RAV4 and CR-V poses a significant challenge, but the Equinox seems well-equipped with its technological upgrades and performance capabilities.
