Toyota Fortuner With GR Bodykit Now In Malaysia

For fans of the Toyota Fortuner, a must-have model has just gone on sale in Malaysia. Among the several model update announcements made today by UMW Toyota Motor is the addition of a new Remote Engine Start feature to the Toyota Fortuner. Press the door lock button on your key fob three times and the car’s engine will automatically start. This technology will be standard on the 2024 Fortuner 2.8 VRZ and 2.7 SRZ models here in Malaysia.

Furthermore, a front bumper skirt, front fog lamp garnish, and rear bumper skirt are all part of the optional GR Bodykit that is now available for the Fortuner 2.7 SRZ and 2.4 models. For those who are interested, the extra piece costs RM3,990, although it won’t be available on the 2.8 VRZ type because the range-topper has a distinct front fascia design.

Other than these new options and accessories, the 2024 Fortuner is still available for the same price in Malaysia. The SUV’s price ranges are as follows: RM195,880 for the 2.4 model, RM202,880 for the 2.7 SRZ, and RM241,880 for the 2.8 VRZ.

The 2.4 variant’s mechanicals remain the same, with a 2.4-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine producing 150 horsepower and 400 Nm. Meanwhile, the 2.7 SRZ uses a gasoline engine with a 2.7-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 166 horsepower and 245 Nm, and the 2.8 VRZ uses a 2.8-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine producing 204 horsepower and 500 Nm.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

Toyota’s Fortuner is one of the most capable, most reliable 4WDs pickups on the market, so we can’t help but recommend it. And now it has new styling traits and a new Remote Engine Start feature to enhance the truck’s versatile three-engine powertrain lineup, the new Fortuner seems to have the right pickup for everyone.
