Mercedes-Benz C350e PHEV Launched In Malaysia As CKD Model

The highly anticipated C350e Plug-in Hybrid, which offers an all-electric range of up to 117 km (WLTP driving cycle), has been introduced by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) with booking orders open.

Priced from just RM355,000, the C350e should generate serious buzz in a segment where EVs are typically the talk of the town. According to MBM, it’s been a while coming from the Pekan production lines, but the wait was worthwhile.

Mercedes claims that the vehicle is not just any automobile, “but rather a window into the future of driving,” combining the power of electric propulsion with a traditional engine to achieve unprecedented efficiency and performance.

The 117 km electricity alone range is similar to having an electric town vehicle but without the disadvantages. Furthermore, Mercedes is not messing around when it comes to quality and innovation—the battery is covered by a six-year warranty.

So what about those specs? With 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque, the 2.0-litre engine of the C350e is all about power and smoothness. However, the electric motor—which produces 95 kW and adds that extra kick—is the true game-changer. When combined, they provide an unbeatable combination of 313 hp and 550 Nm of torque.

But Mercedes went beyond performance. With its stunning AMG Line exterior and Night Package, the C350e’s styling is sure to turn heads wherever it goes. Furthermore, the Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus and Digital Light illuminate the road like no light before it, ensuring maximum safety levels.

The interior is what you’d expect—significantly advanced. Everything about it, from the newest MBUX multimedia system to the AMG Line interior, is penned with the driver in mind. The 11.9-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch LCD are the highlights but who can ignore the numerous safety features, a panoramic sliding sunroof, and ambient lighting.

Drivers will mostly use electric power for their daily trips because of its substantial electric range—making petrol station stops infrequent. Of course, electric mode is only utilised when it makes the most sense.

If you want to maximise your Mercedes experience, you should consider the ‘Agility+ Plan.’ With advantages like fewer monthly payments, a guaranteed future car value, and even a replacement Mercedes while yours is in the shop, it’s all about having unparalleled options.

CARLIST THOUGHTS

This Mercedes arrives with the best of both worlds—boasting a PHEV powertrain that boasts an electric motor mated to a 2.0-litre engine and plenty of poke. It also offers the latest in the brand’s interior design and tech-savvy cockpit with the newest MBUX multimedia system and a sizable 11.9-inch touchscreen. And who can argue with a starting price of RM355,000?
